Hangtown Scout Platoon (7-12 yr olds)
Come check out our co-ed scout program that teaches martial arts, physical fitness, outdoor skills and military prep in a fun, positive learning environment. An aspect that makes our program unique is our Nerf rifle team training. We break students up into 4 person nerf rifle teams and teach infantry team tactics. Students all get the opportunity to be team leader and develop leadership skills. Program starts Saturday, September 14, 2024 and ends Nov 30, 2024. Limited enrollment/
Saturdays 10am-11am *first class will be at Placerville City Park, Hangtown

I served twelve years in both the active Army and California National Guard units as a light Infantry team leader and squad designated marksman in Iraq. Military ethics and values define my teaching style. I've been teaching youth programs since 2002 while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. By learning responsibility at a young age, kids will develop more independence. I also have twenty years experience in practicing/teaching Capoeira. (Afro-Brazilian Martial art form). I believe this program will be very beneficial to our local community. The goal of our scout platoon program is to provide a healthy parent/child activity that's fun and positive.
